Empire State Building – New York, NY
On the final night of trip I stood at the top of the Empire State building overlooking New York City. It wasn’t as peaceful as I had hoped, I spent most of the time fighting with a massive crowd of tourists, pushing to get a spot at the fence to get clear view of the [...]
Central Park – New York, NY
Unfortunately I did not venture far into Central Park, the nice cool shade was very very inviting. I took several photos of the surrounding area and also of the park itself. The most memorable thing about going to Central Park was the woman that we met right outside it. This woman, who may have been [...]
Times Square – New York, NY
You have to see it to believe it. The flashing bright lights, the hoards of people, and the rumbling buses driving by, all contribute to the feel of Times Square at night. Even though Times Square had recently been threatened by a bomb filled vehicle, it still bustled with life. It was obvious that the [...]
3-hour Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan, NY
The 3-hour cruise around Manhattan is a must for travelers, but I would recommend picking a day that is sunny and HOT. The boat is enclosed and is nicely air conditioned. Those who wish to stand or walk around the boat should stay on the lower level as standing is not allowed on the upper [...]
Niagara Falls, NY
Instead of paying $10 at the lots on the streets (they hire workers to stand out on the streets to ‘herd’ tourists into their lots), I drove onto “Goat Island” and parked for free! Normally the parking fee is $8 per vehicle, but since it was considered the “off-season” they allowed all visitors to park [...]
Niagara Gorge, NY
After a long drive all the way from New London, CT to Niagara Falls, NY, we visited the Niagara Gorge State park (downriver from Niagara Falls). The weather was amazing, very bright and sunny. We are standing on the New York side of the river looking across at Canada. The end of April is a [...]
New London, CT (Ferry)
The ferry from Orient Point, NY drops us off in New London, CT. Driving the car off the ferry was kind of fun. XD Even though I didn’t stop for long in this beautiful city, I wanted to put the following pictures up to illustrate the setting.
Orient Point, NY (Ferry)
So, I didn’t spend time in Orient Point, NY, however I passed by the beautiful small towns on the way to the ferry. When I finally arrived at the dock, I took a few pictures since the weather was comfortable. It really is a beautiful time to come to Long Island, the trees and flowers [...]
Sag Harbor, NY
Sag Harbor, NY is a short drive from Montauk. The harbor is quite beautiful, and the Main Street town reminds me of Los Gatos (Downtown) back home in California. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of the town, maybe next time. I loved the weather. XD
