Orient Point, NY (Ferry)

So, I didn’t spend time in Orient Point, NY, however I passed by the beautiful small towns on the way to the ferry.  When I finally arrived at the dock, I took a few pictures since the weather was comfortable.  It really is a beautiful time to come to Long Island, the trees and flowers are in bloom, and the weather is cool.  The Ferry runs between Orient Point, NY and New London, CT, and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.  Its kind of neat to drive the car onto the boat, def not something I get to do everyday.  Our particular ferry was named “Mary Ellen”.

Sag Harbor, NY

Sag Harbor, NY is a short drive from Montauk.  The harbor is quite beautiful, and the Main Street town reminds me of Los Gatos (Downtown) back home in California.  Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of the town, maybe next time.

I loved the weather.  XD

Montauk, New York

Being a tour guide is difficult.  It is even more difficult if you are a tour guide for a place you have never been to.  For reasons unknown, I have been selected to guide family members on a trip to the east coast…  I will update the page with photos from the areas that I have visited.  The first couple days were spent in Montauk, New York, a small town situated at the tip of New York’s Long Island.  The drive across Long Island does not take too long (about 2 hours), but it was a slow drive due to the pouring rain.

The second day was still drizzly, but definitely a huge improvement.  The area is extremely beautiful.  The hotels in the area, most are extremely pricey (esp during the peak seasons), are not in very good shape.  They are old and rickety, but the location is great, a few steps to the beach.  :)
