Country Way the Original – Fremont, CA

I love this place.  Nomalicious food always brings me back to a restaurant.  Its nice that they run daily specials that offer a soup, salad, bread basket, entree, and dessert.  The soup and dessert vary on a day to day basis.  Unfortunately this particular day (2/16/2010) wasn’t the bread pudding day (my favorite!)…  but the [...]

New Year’s Dinner – Grandma’s House

Alrighty, the actual day of new year’s (2/14/2010) was spent with my extended family at my Grandma’s house.  My Grandma and Aunt spent hours cooking up a beautiful and delicious dinner for everyone to enjoy.  Home cooked Chinese food is awesome.  And yes, there were egg rolls at New Year’s dinner as well since they [...]

New Year’s Eve Dinner – Home

Ah, Chinese New Year.  Definitely one of the BEST times of the year for food.  My mom and dad cooked a delicious dinner (I helped with Egg Rolls!) that we enjoyed with just the immediate family.  Unfortunately I can’t name each dish because I don’t know what they’re called in English, but pictures should offer [...]

Palace B.B.Q Buffet – Sunnyvale, CA

Korean BBQ.  NOM NOM NOM.  Hahaha.
Korean BBQ is SUPER nom, definitely one of my favorites!  :D  Palace is pretty good (imho), their short rib marinade is awesome.  I believe that BBQ should always be a fun social event, so on Friday night (2/12/2010) I invited a bunch of friends out this delicious meaty excursion.  Everyone [...]

Costco – Union City, CA

Yeah, I know, Costco.  Haha.  While it is not a common occurrence, I will eat a hot dog from Costco.  I have to admit that the hot dog isn’t bad, I always add lots of onions and ketchup on top.  XD
I’ve had some BAD hot dogs in my time, but the Costco one isn’t bad.  :)

Shooting Star Cafe – Oakland, CA

There are a lot of these Chinese “cafes” that serve similar food and drink around the Bay Area; they are often open late for foodies that crave noms that aren’t from the grease ridden cookie cutter restaurants that dominate the night venue.  For some reason I was especially craving soup that night (2/11/2010), so I [...]

Tandoori Mahal – San Francisco, CA

I owe my fondness for Indian food to my dad.  My dad has been taking our family to Indian food for at least 15-20 years, back then it was hard to even find a good restaurant in the Bay Area.  I’m glad that today, it is not so difficult to find some extremely NOM Indian [...]

New Resolution

Starting from today, 2/10/2010, I resolve to more frequently visit restaurants that are not part of a national chain.  Food is extremely important to me, and I want to go out and find NOMs that are unique.  I’m tired of all the same restaurants that you can find at every single major city in the [...]

Waffles and Eggs – Alameda, CA

It really has been awhile since I’ve had waffles, so whilst out looking for food today I stopped on a whim at this small mom and pop restaurant.  Since I didn’t feel too hungry, I opted for a Waffle and Eggs plate, while my sister chose a Fluffy Cheese Omelet.
The waffle, though kind of thin, [...]

Brewtus Steak Burger – Alameda, CA

I love burgers.  I especially love them if you have the option of specifying how you want them cooked.  While this particular restaurant only allows you to order their burgers medium to well done, I was still ok with it.  When given the chance, I tend to order rare or medium rare, but medium is [...]
